Santa Fe, NM - New Mexico MainStreet Announces the communities of Eagle Nest, Mountainair, Santa Clara, Santa Rosa, Springer, Tularosa, and Villanueva have been selected for this year's Frontier Communities Initiative. The Frontier Communities Initiative was established by the New Mexico Legislature and signed into law by Governor Martinez in 2013 for communities under 7,500 in population.

Las Cruces, NM - Today, Governor Susana Martinez announced CyraCom will create up to 100 new jobs in Las Cruces as it expands to meet growing demand. CyraCom hired its first round of new employees this summer and will hire up to a total of 100 new employees in the next few months expanding its Las Cruces operations to 200 employees.

Las Cruces, NM – Today, Governor Susana Martinez announced that Sitel, a leading global customer care provider, will add more than 100 jobs at its Las Cruces facility. The company has operated in Las Cruces since 2007 and is expanding in part due to support provided through New Mexico’s Job Training Incentive Program (JTIP).

Artesia, NM - Today, Governor Susana Martinez welcomed a new manufacturer, CGS Group, to Artesia. The company expects to create up to 50 new manufacturing jobs over the next several years.

Roswell, NM -Today, Governor Susana Martinez announced that Aircraft Technical Support (ATS), a Florida-based international aviation service and support company, will expand its Roswell operations and expects to hire 140 new workers in the next year. ATS chose New Mexico for its expansion, not only because of Roswell's climate and low humidity, but also because of the state's improved business environment.

Socorro, NM - Today, Governor Susana Martinez announced that manufacturing company Solaro Energy is expanding its operations in Socorro by doubling its production and creating 25 new jobs. Solaro, a solar energy manufacturer, moved its operations to New Mexico from California in 2012 in part because of the state's improved business climate.

Las Cruces, NM -Today, Governor Susana Martinez announced that ARCA Space Corporation will build a testing and manufacturing facility at the Las Cruces Airport, creating 100 high-paying jobs over three years with an average annual salary of $52,000. The aerospace company, which originally started in Romania and located its headquarters to Las Cruces in 2014, will produce electric-powered unmanned aerial systems. The Governor also discussed the recent ranking by the U.S. Department of Commerce that shows Las Cruces as the No. 1 metro in the country for export growth.

Santa Fe, NM - Today, New Mexico Economic Development Department (NMEDD) Cabinet Secretary Jon Barela announces 15 rural economic development projects were selected to receive Local Economic Assistance & Development Support (LEADS). The newly created LEADS program will leverage $176,260 to supplement the work of local communities in their efforts to diversify their economy and create good-paying jobs that have a multiplier effect.
