Santa Fe - Today the New Mexico Economic Development Department announces that it has allocated $200,000 in Local Economic Development Act (LEDA) funds to San Juan County. The LEDA funds will be used for the architectural and engineering design for a 30,000 square foot warehouse at the Raytheon Diné facility.

Santa Fe - The New Mexico MainStreet program announced today its program accomplishments for 2013. The data show that the 27 MainStreet districts across New Mexico continued to build strong local economies. During 2013, MainStreet entrepreneurs, launched 82 net new businesses, assisted in the expansion of 24 businesses and created 422 net new jobs.

Las Cruces – Governor Susana Martinez announced today that CertoPlast will locate its first North American operation in Las Cruces. CertoPlast will be the first manufacturer to locate in the Las Cruces Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ), and will create 100 new jobs with an average wage of $22.38 an hour. The company’s new facility will be located in the West Mesa Industrial Park.

Carlsbad - The New Mexico Economic Development Department announced today that Rangeland Energy has started construction of the Rangeland Integrated Oil System (RIO System) in the Delaware Basin region of southeast New Mexico and West Texas. Rangeland will create 50 new jobs at their site near Loving, about 20 miles outside of Carlsbad. Rangeland will invest up to $200 million for the entire system.

Santa Teresa - Today New Mexico Economic Development Secretary Jon Barela participated in the ribbon cutting ceremony for the opening of Oak Tree Inn Hotel and Penny's Diner. The hotel and diner is located in the Santa Teresa Airport Park on 2.28 acres. The total investment of this project was approximately $5 million. The hotel includes 56 rooms, with contingency plans for expansion, and the diner will be open 24 hours.
