Doña Ana County - The New Mexico Economic Development Department along with the Mesilla Valley Economic Development Alliance, Doña Ana Community College and the City of Las Cruces are partnering together to host a "Job to Career Readiness Boot Camp." The event is free to attend and will prepare attendees with successful application and interviewing skills for several companies in the region that are hiring. Recently Governor Susana Martinez announced that three new manufacturers will be locating in Doña Ana County and creating over 600 new jobs.

PreCheck, an employment and background screening firm specializing in the healthcare industry, currently employs 128 workers in Alamogordo.

SANTA FE - The New Mexico Economic Development Department's Job Training Incentive Program (JTIP) Board approved $1,742,730 in funding at its April meeting to 6 companies who will create 322 jobs with an average wage of $16.47. In May, the JTIP Boards approved $782,415 in funds to 6 companies creating 95 jobs with an average wage of $16.12. The next JTIP board meeting will be Friday, June 13, 2014 at 9 am in the Bid Room of the Joseph Montoya Building located at 1100 St. Francis Drive, Santa Fe, NM 87501.
