Ideum is a true economic development success story. Ideum has used New Mexico’s economic development toolbox to accelerate the growth of their innovative company since 2011. In the last decade, they have used JTIP, LEDA, the High Wage Jobs and Research & Development Tax Credits to expand their business.
Their new 5,500 sq. ft. facility features state-of-the-art tools such as new CNC machines, a plasma cutter and mill, along with a variety of woodworking tools. According to Ideum, “while nearly half of this new space will be dedicated for high-tech shop tools, the remaining half will be used to prototype and stage large exhibitions, including projection mapping installations and immersive video walls.”
Jim Spadaccini, Ideum Founder and Creative Director, said "we love what we do and this studio is going to help us do more. We're going to have the ability to create new physical and digital exhibits, new smart furniture, and projection map exhibits -- projection-based exhibits, video walls and other more immersive installations… We'll be building the exhibits and interactive experiences of the future right here in Corrales."
You can see Ideum’s exhibits at the upcoming Penguin Chill addition to the ABQ BioPark Zoo.
