TaskUs is expanding to downtown Albuquerque’s First Plaza Building for their new $9 million technical operations and customer experience center. Company officials said New Mexico’s business-friendly incentives were the deciding factor when compared to other markets such as Nevada, Texas and Utah.
“Albuquerque provides a wealth of talent and an emerging tech scene, which is the perfect combination for TaskUs,” said CEO Bryce Maddock.
TaskUs provides customer care solutions to leading technology companies like Eventbrite and MailChimp. The State and the City of Albuquerque are providing a total of $3 million in LEDA funding for the project.
TaskUs will hire nearly 700 employees and company officials hope to continue to grow in Albuquerque and New Mexico. The location is scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2019 and will include a market, lounge, recreation areas, and a gym for employees. The company also has locations in Austin, Dallas, San Antonio, San Francisco, Mexico and the Philippines.
